If you are a cemetery and/or crematorium professional with a particular interest in and concern for the environment, this could be the role for you.
The ICCM, in partnership with the Darwin Centre for Sustainable Bereavement, is creating a suite of training courses focussing on the environment and sustainability within the UK bereavement sector. To support this important initiative, we are establishing a learning support group to help shape this training through attending pilot courses, testing materials, suggesting alternatives and providing honest feedback.
For you, being a member of the learning support group will enhance skills and abilities and bring you into the heart of learning development for the sector. The resultant training will enable the ICCM to help our membership to meet the sustainability challenges it faces both now and into the future.
Being a member of the learning support group is a voluntary position. It is expected that attendance at meetings will be virtual, but should in-person attendance be required, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. It is envisioned that the role will require around 25 hours of activity in the first year, with this reducing as courses are established.
If you would like to apply to be a member of the learning support group, please submit your CV, together with a covering letter explaining why your skills, knowledge and experience would suit you to this role, to Mat Crawley at mathew.crawley@iccm-uk.com by Friday 28th February 2025.
