We are pleased to invite you to the next meeting of the Eastern Regional Branch. This will take place on Wednesday 2 October at Oakfield’s Gardens Crematorium – for directions and those using Sat Navs, the following link is provided to assist.
Oakfield’s Gardens Crematorium
Oakfield Gardens is situated within the heart of Central Bedfordshire, north of Flitwick and is surrounded by green and picturesque landscape. Oakfield’s Gardens is the first crematorium in Central Bedfordshire and is operated by Central Bedfordshire Council, who provide a critical public service. Supporting grieving people by offering a dignified and respectful ceremony hall for the celebration of life for those that have died.
Arrangements have been made for members and their guests to receive a tour of this wonderful new facility that includes the crematorium and Garden of Remembrance. We hear they run a paperless office! We at Nene Valley personally cannot wait to glean ideas from this visit to take away ideas to complement the new Medical Examiners process.
A representative of Plotbox will provide a talk on their expertise and has kindly sponsored the day. The keynote speaker on all things ‘medical examiner process’ is Dr PETER Walters, Medical Referee, and future Medical Examiner for Nene Valley Crematorium.
We look forward to receiving topics to include on the agenda for the usual sharing of experiences and future ideas for all to ponder over and take away some useful information…The meeting will take place at the crematorium. We look forward to hearing from you and will circulate the agenda prior to the meeting.
