We are seeking an experienced professional with an excellent track record to establish this beautifully situated new crematorium, sited in the South Hams and close to the City of Plymouth.

The post will become available in early February 2025 The appointee will be expected to launch and lead this new facility, delivering a range of high quality and customer focused services.

In addition, they will be responsible for compliance with all statutory regulations and industry codes of practice. They will manage all contractors and suppliers to the company and ensure staff are trained and qualified to appropriate levels.

A key function will be building relationships with the community and with funeral directors.

The appointee must have the ICCM Diploma, a proven track record in managing crematoria and ideally experience of the needs of new build and start-up locations.

The appointee will be responsible for managing financial accounts.

A keen sense of commercial acumen combined with a deep understanding of bereavement related issues is essential.

The successful candidate will be the principal officer of the company, responsible only to the board of directors.
